Kelly O'Grady is an on-air correspondent, host and tech & media business expert. She currently serves as the Chief Correspondent & Host and Head of Video for dot.LA, a multimedia news organization covering the hotbed of innovation in the Los Angeles startup & tech scene. With degrees from Harvard University and Harvard Business School, as well as extensive industry experience, her background blending both business and on-air expertise provides a unique perspective when it comes to the media, entertainment and tech ecosystems.
In her current role at dot.LA, Kelly serves as a guest contributor on national TV networks where she provides expert commentary on the latest tech and media business headlines, including breaking news and corporate earnings coverage. She also created and hosts a variety of video series, including dot.LA Explains and founder spotlights, aimed at bringing to life critical industry developments and telling the stories of area entrepreneurs. Additionally, Kelly is responsible for the business strategy and execution behind dot.LA’s video efforts.
Prior to this, she developed deep media expertise as a member of Disney's Corporate Strategy team and a management consultant at McKinsey. While at Disney, she helped build the company’s direct-to-consumer streaming efforts and worked on some of the industry's most important M&A transactions. Kelly also spent time as a TV reporter for NESN and held the title of Miss Massachusetts USA, where she promoted her passion for helping women succeed in male-dominated industries.
Kelly is part of the new order of creators, meeting audiences where they are and arming them with the most important news and analysis. And as a woman in the heavily male tech and media fields, she relishes proving that we need not be defined by traditional stereotypes.
